| Description:
The RHEO DOPPLEX II PPG and Doppler system combines Digital Photoplethysmography (PPG) with bi-directional Doppler in one hand-held unit. It provides a rapid assessment of overall venous function and produces printouts of venous refill curves and blood flow waveforms. The system is fully automatic and can be used by clinical staff at any level.
A recent study by Da Silva et al (1998) has shown that the RHEO DOPPLEX can be used to screen patients with suspected lower limb DVT, obtaining a sensitivity and Negative Predictive Value of 100%. Features:
- Clinically proven in the screening for the absence of a DVT in the lower limb
- Rapid assessment of overall venous function
- Detection of venous reflux in specific vessels
- Differentiation between deep and superficial venous insufficiency
- Arterial and venous flow studies
- Ankle Brachial Index
- Digital Plethysmography offers improved reproducibility
- Sensor automatically adjusts for different skin types
- Calculation of venous refilling time and half amplitude time
- Built in metronome for patient compliance
- Bi-directional Doppler, with large LCD
- True separated audio of forward and reverse flow (into stereo headphones)
- Automatic Noise Reduction
- Connects to Computer for use with Dopplex reporter software package providing bi-directional vascular reports
- Probe coding provides automatic mode selection
- Accepts the range of vascular and obstetric probes
