Integrated Skin cooling device
The MeDioStar XT handpiece is fitted with a system that cools the area to be treated immediately before emitting the pulse, guaranteeing greater comfort and safety for the patient during treatment. A monitoring system inside the laser device regulates the cooling level, always keeping the skin temperature lower then 25°C and ensuring painless and extremely delicate treatment of all skin types. |
High power diode
One of the wide range of diodes used in medical laser devices, the MeDioStar XT diode offers elevated power that reaches 500W on the skin. This power ensures greater skin penetration, indispensable in the case of epilation in order to destroy the deepest follicles, and also in the case of treatments for coagulating the less superficial blue blood vessels.
Homogeneous spot for a safe and precise treatment
The laser beam is transmitted through 5900 small fibers, which guarantees the utmost homogeneity of the surfaces treated. Thanks to the uniform distribution of energy there are no zones that are hotter or cooler than others.
Treatment of dark and tanned skin patient
The possibility of varying the duration of the laser pulse to up to 500 ms allows for safe treatment of dark and tanned skins as well. The increased pulse duration combined with the skin cooling prevents thermal damage, such as burning, to the epidermis.
Exclusive mixed wavelength
It is now possible to select MeDioStar miXT, the new laser combining two different wavelengths in one single diode stack: 810 nm and 940 nm. This offers physicians greater versatility in assessing the prevalence of darker phototypes (940 nm) or fairer phototypes (810 nm) among their patients. Treatments:
Epilation
MeDioStar is a synonym for safe epilation, also for darker skin types. The high power reaches the hair follicles at even deeper depth. Even when using the higher energy densities, the application is always delicate, guaranteeing low risk and gentle treatment for patients. The laser light penetrates the superficial skin layers and the melanin pigments contained in the hair follicles absorb its energy. By absorption the light energy turns into heat and damages the surrounding cell layers, which are responsible for hair regrowth.
Vascular treatments
MeDioStar XT goes beyond just depilation, demonstrating its great versatility and user-friendliness also in other fields of application, such as the removal of blue reticular veins on the legs and treatment of hemangiomas. Significant regressions are observed in an increasing number of patients. The treatments are non-invasive and do away with the need for an anesthetic in most cases.
