At your request, DefibtechMD can analyze the number of AEDs and appropriate placement of each at your facility. Whether done onsite or over the phone by one of our certified AED/CPR instructors your sight will be thoroughly analyzed to make sure that your facility is equipped for a medical emergency.
The first part of the site analysis is focused on covering the basic layout of your facility. A blueprint will help us your facilities before the consult. Critical information including the number of buildings, number of floors, square footage number of employees, and hours of operation is gathered for our analysis. This gives a general idea of the size of facility that the AED(s) will be located at. We can use this information to help develop emergency maps and medical escape plans. This helps to make sure that the facility has appropriate maps for emergencies and that the AED is located on those maps.
The third part addresses the employees and the current onsite exercise and occupational health presence. Questions are asked about fitness facilities and public safety personal. This helps prevent certain medical emergency situations that may occur in the facility.
The fourth part also deals with the employees in regards to their CPR/AED training. This provides a plan to get more employees trained or to refresh the ones that are currently CPR/AED certified. This makes sure that enough people are certified for the size of facility being analyzed.
The fifth set of questions is designed to make sure that if the AED is in a wall cabinet that the placement complies with the Americans Disabilities Act. This is to ensure that the AED is accessible to everyone. It also asks questions concerning CPR supplies and if they are located with the AED.
And the final set of questions to address the location of AED(s) at your facility. The objective is that the AED is only a 1 1/2 minute walk from any location to the AED. This is to make sure that if a person were to go into cardiac arrest that an AED would be by their side within three minutes. If this is not possible then more AEDs may need to be purchased for that site.
The site analysis is a way to make sure that your facility is the safest for employees and other people who may be entering your building. This is an easy way to ensure safety for your company and to make sure everything is order in case of a medical emergency to increase the chances of survival. |
