Training on the Defibtech Lifeline or ReviveR AED is a necessary step to successfully implementing an early defibrillation program. DefibtechMD recommends AED/CPR training through an accredited training organization. The course content should include recognizing major emergencies including the signs and symptoms of stroke, heart attack, choking, and cardiac arrest. Each student should also learn the adult chain of survival, cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), early defibrillation, and foreign body airway obstruction removal.
During the training, each employee should become comfortable with the step-by-step functioning of the Defibtech AED. Realistic drills and practice scenarios should play a key role in this training and each class should end with a practical exam, and a written exam. Upon successful completion, each employee should receive a CPR provider card.
DefibtechMD can help you arrange for accredited training for your customers though our national network of certified instructors. If it is easier for your customers we can also provide an integrated online and onsite training. This blended training will allow customers to address the cogitative sections of AED/CPR training online and then experience hands on practice with the Defibtech AED. |
